The Task Group will focus on the continuum of primary care from prevention to control with a particular focus on early detection, screening, and the prevention of complications of diabetes. The Group acknowledges that the broad context of diabetes includes the continuum of care for individuals with different types of diabetes (type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes) .This will require different strategies for prevention and interventions for optimal management/control.
